We Discovered a Cool New Sonoma Coast Winery

Sonoma Coast, California If you know me, you probably know that my wife Hale and I are country French and Provencal lifestyle aficionados. We went to France 2 summers ago, rented a Provencal home and can’t stop talking about it. This past summer’s trip to New Zealand had a definitively French flair with a visit to our New Zealand friend who was living in France when we were there some 20 odd years ago. So, look out, you might get a recommendation on food and wine at anytime, we just can’t help it. La Pitchoune Winery, a brand new label, is releasing it’s 2013 Rose’. Being on the mailing list, we got the heads up today. And, we’re in! It’s online to order for the first time expecting to sell out like the premier 2012 Rose’. By the way, La Pitchoune is named after Paul and Julia Child’s Provence home. And a great book that led us to this winery, if in a roundabout way, is Luke Barr’s book “Provence 1970”. Outstanding choice if you love any part of the uniquely American food scene - French inspired or not.
