Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Vista, CA There’s nothing like being on Lake Tahoe, life is fresh, the air is crisp and the water is deep and bluer than blue. Setting sail on a gorgeous Friday evening, the Carr Long team and their significant others enjoyed a 2-hour cruise along the northern and eastern shores of Lake Tahoe, enabling us to enjoy each other, the lake and Tahoe real estate from a different vantage point. 12 of us boarded the Wild Goose II and were treated to delicious hors d’oeuvres, refreshing cocktails, intriguing stories, and then a beautiful sunset. On top of all that the company could not have been better. For those of you who have never taken a cruise aboard the Wild Goose II, it is something you really must consider. The Wild Goose II is a reproduction wooden craft inspired by the original Wild Goose, a 36-foot commuter style boat from the 1920’s. Commissioned in 2006, the Wild Goose II offers a variety of cruises that depart from the North Tahoe Marina and provide a unique and immensely enjoyable experience. The crew is delightful and well versed on the history of Lake Tahoe’s Northern and Eastern shore history, from the CalNeva’s dramatic Rat Pack to the Whittell estate currently known as Thunderbird Lodge.
