Dorinda’s Chocolates, Truckee, California If you’ve never visited Dorinda’s Chocolates in downtown Truckee your tastebuds are missing some of the Northern California’s most delectable handmade treats right here in downtown Truckee. Having made chocolate covered cherries for her family and friends since she was only twelve, Dorinda gradually perfected her flawless recipes and to this day creates a succulent, lip-smacking treat. Even the most sophisticated of palates would agree! Although Dorinda is famous for her signature Chocolate Covered Cherries, some of my personal favorites are her Sea Salt Caramels, Peanut Butter Bombs (a few of my clients even agree) & Mountains of Pecans. In addition to chocolates, Dorinda offers fresh soups, sandwiches & espresso. Something for everyone at any time of the day. Keeping our littlest family members in mind, Dorinda’s offers $1 milk chocolate, white chocolate or dark chocolate heart-shaped lollipops. One dollar for anything these days as delicious as a handmade Dorinda lollipop reminds us of days gone by in an old-fashioned candy shop. It is Dorinda’s sweet nature and attention to every detail that keeps us coming back for more. Conveniently, Dorinda’s is located on West River Street in Downtown Truckee just beneath Spirit Gallery.
