Schaffer's Camp, Mid-mountain at Northstar, California If you’re not a Tahoe Mountain Club member or haven’t had the rewarding opportunity to be a guest at Schaffer’s Camp mid-mountain Restaurant, then you’re missing one of the coolest dining experiences any skier could ask for. At Schaffer’s Camp members and guests ski in, pop off their skis and boots and enjoy a five-star dining experience. The food by itself is fantastic, but with the glorious views serving as a backdrop, everything seems to taste even better. While dining, it’s a true treat to take in the sweeping views of the Truckee River Valley and Squaw Valley’s KT-22 in the distance. This Greg Faulkner designed masterpiece offers 13,000 square feet of warmth, relaxation and rejuvenation right on the mountain. It’s the perfect spot for the family to take a break from the slopes, kick up their feet and fuel up with great food and drink. As one of the finest restaurants in the area, it’s a true one-of-a-kind anywhere in Tahoe. In fact, Schaffer’s Camp is joined by only a few sister restaurants anywhere in North America, such as Beano’s Cabin in Beaver Creek and the game Creek Club on Vail Mountain. Schaffer’s Camp cost a whopping $7M to construct, and that value is very apparent when you are there. Schaffer’s Camp blends the historic feel of a rustic camp setting with the warmth and comfort of a grand mountain lodge. Meet your friends around the fire pit on the expansive deck, and order up a classic burger accompanied by a Tahoe Mountain Brewery beer on tap. Schaffer’s extensive menu also includes everything from fresh salads and hearty sandwiches to rotisserie fired chicken and house made pastas. The friendly staff and vast wine list will keep you coming back time and time again. Hope to see you at the Schaffer’s this winter! Schaffer's Camp Photos
