Morgan's Lobster Shack Re-opens!

Truckee, California Morgan’s Lobster Shack celebrated its Grand Opening last summer (June 28th) and was quickly embraced by locals and tourists as the place to go for delicious eats and the freshest of seafood. Unfortunately for everyone familiar with Morgan’s, Truckee’s newest dining spot experienced every small business’ worst nightmare just a few weeks after opening. A fire in the kitchen destroyed most of the restaurant’s interior, and forced them to close at the height of the summer season. The fire was a huge blow to this brand new business and the timing could not have been worse. However, the owners were determined to fight back and reopen as soon as they possibly could. Luckily there was no structural damage to the building, and it would just need extensive repairs to the interior in order become fully operational once again. A few minor setbacks along the way extended the recovery timeframe, and in the end their doors remained closed for almost 6 months. To everyone’s delight, Morgan’s was able to officially reopen just a few weeks ago. All the signs of the devastating fire are gone, and Morgan’s is now back in full swing and better than ever. The seafood options are fantastic and their menu is full of items sure to satisfy your seafood cravings. Try the blackened scallops on the spinach and kale salad. It’s delicious. So are the lobster rolls, the halibut, the salmon, and pretty much anything you decide to order. If you’re a fry lover like me, they have the best fresh cut fries around. You can always purchase the fresh seafood from Morgan’s and cook it yourself at home. Whatever you choose, we highly recommend Morgan’s as a must visit place in Truckee. Photo Gallery
