Truckee, California Two Young entrepreneurs, Shawn & Heather Morgan-Whitney just opened Truckee’s newest and hottest restaurant – Morgan’s Lobster Shack & Fish Market! We attended their Grand Opening event on June 28^th and were blown away by how many people already knew about Truckee’s latest gem. Located on West River Street across from Jax Diner, the quaint Lobster Shack serves up fresh Maine Lobster Rolls at their finest. With lobster and fresh fish flown in daily, your taste buds will keep you coming back for more as the authentic lobster rolls and seafood entrees are second to none. Although they specialize in the Classic Lobster Roll served up with homemade coleslaw and potato chips, Morgan’s also offers all kinds of other tasty options. Try their yummy kale salad or the lobster grilled cheese. Those are two of my favorites! The back patio is just beautiful for outdoor summer dining. Be sure to grab a specialty brew or a good old fashion east coast Sam Adams to keep you cool while you indulge at this one of a kind seafood spot. Don’t forget to take some fish, lobster or shrimp home with you! We’ve been eating salmon, shrimp & other fresh catches 3 times a week since they opened. Finally, no more trips to Whole Foods for overpriced and less than perfect seafood. This is the REAL DEAL at a terrific value!
