Martis Camp's Broker Appreciation Getaway

Napa Valley, California On March 23, Martis Camp once again hosted its magical Spring Broker getaway at the Meadowood Inn, in Napa Valley. Located on the Silverado Trail, Meadowood Inn is tucked behind fields of vineyards, into a secluded, wooded valley. It is made up of cottage-like dwellings scattered across the large grounds. Every room has a private entry, its own balcony overlooking the local fauna, fireplace and fabulous bathroom. You are in a hotel room, but it feels like so much more. Each time you walk in, you feel like you are entering your own cottage. The first event of the weekend was a game of Croquet, on the immaculate and renowned Meadowood Croquet Lawn. Situated below the main lodge, the Croquet Lawn requires participants to wear Croquet Whites. It is absolutely forbidden to wear colors. As a bunch of class clowns who sell real estate and have been hunkered down all winter long, everyone embraced the departure from heavy winter clothing. The host of the weekend, Brian Hull, added excitement at the end of this group croquet match by wrapping a $100 bill around the final spike. Whoever hit it (or got close to it), won the money. My stellar partner, Tori, won the $100, which we quickly consumed at the après-croquet bar. The rest of the weekend was a blur of fine wining & dining, and some high-end shopping in St. Helena & Yountville. We are always excited to receive an invitation to the Martis Camp Spring Broker Getaway at Meadowood, and we look forward to the next one! Photo Gallery
