Northstar, California Today was a very busy day in The Village at Northstar. Food, wine and beer fans were out and about in the Village enjoying the many delicious food and drink options available. Handmade crafts and artisan food products were also on display and on sale at the many vendor tents set up throughout the heart of the Village. It was a beautiful day and a festive atmosphere. Those in attendance seemed thrilled to taste new foods and try new varieties of beer and wine. In addition to food and wine tasting, the festival includes cooking seminars and demonstrations, as well as culinary competitions. It's not just about enjoying food, but there is a big emphasis on learning new ways to approach food and cooking. Today's cooking demonstration was put on by Chef Jason Gronlund, he is the Senior Chef from Smokeybones Bar & Fire Grill in Florida. Chef Jason is an accomplished grill master, and shared his tips and techniques for grilling over an open flame, the importance of marinating, and how to properly grill to a specific temperature. He grilled up some delicious looking meat varieties in front of an engaged crowd. His creations smelled incredible wafting through the Village and his high energy demeanor kept the large crowds entertained. There are more great demonstrations and seminars planned for tomorrow.
