Don Carr

My wife, Hale, and I lived in four different ski resort towns before settling in Truckee to raise our family. Our kids are now living the childhood of our dreams, skiing every weekend in winter and sailing and camping on Lake Tahoe in summer. What an amazing place for children to grow up, and for a family to play together. I have to pinch myself sometimes when I look around to make sure it’s not a dream that I actually live here.

I arrived in Tahoe in 2001, at the beginning of the renaissance of the North Tahoe region. Working in real estate has been a very rewarding way to be involved in some of these changes. It provides a constant source of opportunities to meet fascinating people, to see beautiful homes, and to help families create meaningful traditions of enjoying all the wonders of our region.

I saw the opportunity to join my professional talents with those of Tori Long as the ultimate no-brainer. I have never met a more profoundly gifted real estate agent in my life and am honored to have opened a real estate office with her as my business partner. We elevate each other’s attributes, and we both have strong support from our respective families.
