Old Greenwood Ranked #2 Best Nicklaus Course

On the day that Jack Nicklaus celebrates turning seventy-five, Old Greenwood also celebrates reaching a new milestone. Jack, the legend of the golf game who won a total of 18 career major championships during his playing career, has made an accomplished career out of designing golf courses as well. Today the name Nicklaus Design stands for superior golf design, and with 289 courses worldwide in 36 different countries it has quickly soared to the forefront of the entire golfing industry with a team that includes some of the most accomplished design associates, agronomists, and experts in the world.
The Golf Channel experts recently released a ranking of the Top 10 Nicklaus designed courses open to the public, and coming in at a very respectable #2 ranking is the Jack Nicklaus Signature Old Greenwood course. Used in the past as the grounds for the US Junior Amateur Championships, this course is open to the public and professionals alike. The Golf Channel experts also broke down the course as well suited for families, couples play, and even buddy trips.
