North Lake Tahoe, An Ideal Venue for Wanderlust Festival

Wanderlust Festival, Squaw Valley, North Lake Tahoe, California

By definition, wanderlust is a strong desire for or impulse to wander or travel and explore the world. It’s a passion shared by the hundreds of yoga enthusiasts who came together this past weekend in Squaw Valley for the Wanderlust Festival. I had the privilege of attending this one-of-a-kind event, and even though I was not wandering far from home, it allowed me to explore Tahoe in a way I have previously never done.

Wanderlust is a unique festival that brings together the world’s leading yoga instructors, top musical acts, renowned speakers, elite chefs and winemakers, and so much more. It’s an energetic celebration of health, fitness and music, while at the same time offering a wonderful opportunity for personal reflection and growth. It’s a reminder of our vital, yet fragile, connection with the environment and nature, and it’s the goal of Wanderlust to continually promote such values and awareness.

They choose only the most awe-inspiring locations as venues for the festival, so it’s no surprise that North Lake Tahoe has been a regular stop on the Wanderlust tour. The remarkable beauty is certainly something for wandering travelers to explore and yearn for.
