Introducing The SLATE Art Exhibit At The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe

“The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe Introduces A Rotating Art Exhibit”

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe has become much more than just a hotel since it opened in December of 2009. In the short 5 years since then, the hotel has become recognized as a “premier destination resort, ” and was voted one of the best hotels in the world in 2013 by Travel and Leisure. Upon closer exploration, it is clear to see why this particular hotel is the first, and thus far the only, AAA Five Diamond mountain resort in the entire state of California. Some of the world-class luxuries on site at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, to praise just a few, include an opulent spa that measures 17,000 square feet, four dining options, and the unparalleled ability to ski directly onto the Northstar California slopes from the back of the hotel via the Big Easy ski run. The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe offers it’s guests a fine living experience through an acute attention to detail that makes visiting the resort truly special. This can positively be seen through efforts by The Ritz-Carlton to enliven hotel residence owner’s and guest’s experiences in innovative ways, such as the new rotating art exhibit that is currently on display throughout the resort public areas. Featuring two six-month exhibits, the show officially opened in early November 2014. The current exhibit is based upon a winter motif, which will then transition into a summer-theme in May 2015 and continue on exhibit through November 2015. These illustrations are exclusively curated by SLATE Art Consulting, a unique group that is composed entirely of artists living or working in Northern California. “This exhibit broadens and enriches the guest experience at our hotel and residences, and expresses our commitment to fine living,” explains Joseph Mattioli, who is the general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe property. Public tours are available weekly every Thursday at 2pm, and a private tour can be arranged as well through the SLATE Art Consulting group.
