Squaw Valley

Squaw Valley, otherwise known as Olympic Valley (host of the 1960 Winter Olympics), is home to some of the most challenging ski terrain in all of Tahoe. The resort has now merged with its neighbor, Alpine Meadows, so that both season ticket and day pass holders can enjoy over 270 ski trails situated on 6,000 majestic mountain acres. The Village at Squaw Valley offers up a wide variety of dining and shopping–not to mention lodging–all directly at the base of the mountain. The Resort at Squaw Creek is also located here along with over 500 single family residences. Year-round events such as Squaw Valley Oktoberfest, Wanderlust Yoga Retreat, WinterWonderGrass, and the annual Squaw Valley Foam Fest make this mecca for epic skiing and alpine fun the scene to make when in Tahoe!
