Speaking of dream homes in the mountains, I have been fortunate to live in the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee area for 20 years. My two boys were born and raised here - lucky kids - and my wife, Chelsea, grew up skiing here. I moved to Tahoe from San Francisco for a teaching job in 2004 and co-founded Tahoe Expedition Academy (TEA) in 2011. TEA is a fully accredited Pk-12th grade experiential learning school in Truckee with 250 students that uses adventure to build character and bring learning to life.

Originally from Virginia, I attended Princeton University, where I studied English and psychology, earned NCAA All-America and Scholar All-America honors and won two national championships in D1 Lacrosse. I continued my education at Brown University, where I received a Masters Degree in Education. 

In addition to my ongoing work at TEA as an educator, I enjoy living in the Russell Valley, which is about twenty minutes northeast of Truckee and feels a bit like the wild west with horses and pastures all around. I also love hunting, fishing, skiing and biking, being a husband and dad, and working with a great team of real estate professionals to help our clients achieve their goals and dreams.
