I first visited Lake Tahoe when I was in middle school, attending summer camp at the Presbyterian Conference Grounds in South Lake Tahoe. That was the beginning of my love of the Sierra—the mountains, lakes, streams, wildflowers, and seasons.
When I married David Brown in 1972, I moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to the Sierra, and I’ve lived at Northstar permanently since 1973! David was one of the first 5 real estate professionals hired by Fibreboard, the company that was the original developer of Northstar, so I’ve watched Northstar grow from a small, family-centered ski area into the world class resort and real estate development it is today.
