Ritz-Carlton Broker Stay & Play Event

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Lake Tahoe was the site of Tahoe’s first ever and very possibly only ever Ritz-Carlton Broker Stay & Play Event. Tori and Don invited the cream of the crop of the real estate community in the North Lake Tahoe region, including the top producing agents in both California and Nevada. It was a virtual Who’s Who of real estate, not just in our region, but in the nation. Tahoe’s real estate ranks as some of the most expensive in the world, so this group of agents regularly deals with the world’s most affluent populations. We were pleased that virtually everyone who was invited accepted the invitation. The job of selling real estate can be all-consuming, but the invitees seemed to recognize the importance and value of a small getaway. Our invitation for the Broker Stay & Play was designed to introduce our guests to and immerse them in the AAA Five Diamond lifestyle found here at the Ritz-Carlton as can be found nowhere else in Tahoe. Our guests’ first agenda item after checking into their rooms was an afternoon Spa treatment. The ladies and gentlemen of the Ritz-Carlton Spa encourage an early arrival to relax in the steam rooms or hot tubs prior to the spa treatments. Donning robes and padding around the serene spa set the tone of luxury right away. After a relaxing spa experience, guests returned to their rooms to prepare for the evening. Our group of 20 Realtors and their spouses, partners and friends gathered together for a cocktail reception in the largest 2-story penthouse – 650. In every case, we all knew of each other by reputation, but some of us were meeting for the first time. Conversations covered a wide range of topics. It was an amazing opportunity to interact with each other in a new, beautiful, exotic, and relaxing environment with the only goal being “to stay and play”! After the cocktail reception, we took the elevators down to the Manzanita restaurant, located just off the Living Room level. We had 5 tables and the entire back of the restaurant to ourselves. Tori gave a nice welcoming speech and we had the opportunity to recognize our very first Broker transactions by giving the “incentive gift” to Abby Moran who sold two residences. Abby “won” a 3 night stay in the Ritz-Carlton of her choice. Our 4-Course Dinner could not have been better. Waiters were pouring the fabulous Ritual Pinot Noir from Jeroboams. It was a dramatic presentation of a delicious wine. We also poured Faively Chardonnay from France. As we were leaving the restaurant, the Manzanita bar proved an irresistible draw for an after dinner “digestif” for some. Others availed themselves of the outdoor hot tubs while still others went to their rooms to settle restfully into their feather beds. The rest of the evening and the following morning were open and free for our guests. Tori and Don were so honored to have had such a great turn-out for our event. The enthusiastic emails that came in the days following made it feel as if it made a strong impact on our guests. Everyone seemed to have had such a great time, dining together and conversing about a diversity of subjects. We expect our 14 remaining residences will sell out soon, and this type of event may never happen again. So, for those who got to experience it, count ourselves lucky indeed.
